How to set up keyword & phrase spotting
1. Call flow setup
Step 1. Go to Tracking > Call Flows and either edit an existing call flow or click the '+ Add' button to create a new one.
Step 2. Once in the call flow, press the '+' plus sign at the beginning of the call flow and select the 'Record' add-on from the left-hand side menu.
Step 3. Finish setting up the call flow by adding a number under 'Dial'.
Now, head over to Workflows.
2. Workflow setup
Step 1. Click on the '+ Add' button to create a new workflow.
Step 2. Press on the '+' plus sign and select 'Add filter', then click on 'Recording' from the filter criterion menu on the right.
Step 3. On the 'Recording' pop-up, select 'Yes' and click on 'OK'.
Step 4. Click on the '+' plus sign and select 'Add filter' once more, this time scrolling down the filter criterion menu and clicking on 'Word & Phrase Spotting' under the 'Conversation' sub-menu.
Step 5. Add the keywords and phrases that, when heard during the conversation, will trigger the workflow to treat the conversation as a conversion. Be as thorough as you can and consult with your team members who answer calls frequently on what words and phrases to include. Once your list is complete, click on 'OK'.
Step 6. Click on the '+' plus sign, select 'Perform action', then select 'Google Ads' under the 'Integrations' sub-menu from the task menu on the right.
Step 7. Select the right Google Ads configuration and click the 'OK' button.
Step 8. Click on 'Enable' to activate your workflow. Optionally, name it something relevant to keyword phrase & spotting for easier findability.
3. Tracking number setup
Final Step. Go to Tracking > Numbers and assign the call flow you created to at least one phone number.
