How to set up call greetings
Call greetings - Create a great first impression
Greetings help you set a friendly tone for an upcoming conversation, make a positive first impression, and guide your callers to the right destination. Call Greetings:
- Greet your clients in their own language: Customize your phone call greetings based on your caller location.
- Say "Hello" in your brand’s voice: Greetings makes it easier to communicate your brand’s voice in a way that makes them feel welcome.
- Test your message to see which one is more engaging: Testing your greeting messages helps you improve caller experience and call abandonment rates.
- Show professionalism: A clear greeting including your first name and the name of the business reassures callers they’ve reached the right place.
- Sharing information: With a Call greeting, you can provide valuable information, such as operating hours, alternative contact methods, or special announcements.
Set up call greetings
Step 1. Go to Tracking > Call Flows.
Step 2. If you want to start a new call flow click on the '+ Add' button
Otherwise, just click on the call flow you want to add the greeting message.
Step 3. Click on the '+' plus button and select 'Greeting' from the call-flow action menu on the right hand side.
Step 3. Configure your greeting message. You can choose between playing a greeting you have set up in the Media Library or setup a text to speech message. For the text-to-speech functionality, also configure the language and tone of voice.
Step 4. Add a routing option, such as 'Dial', to complete the greeting setup.
🎉 That's it. Whenever somebody calls you will hear the message you just set up. Always remember to assign the call flow to your tracking number(s)!
