How to Integrate Google Ads [ + add standard conversions]

Set up Google Ads integration


Nimbata's Google Ads integration helps you discover which sources, campaigns, adgroups, ads, and keywords are driving not only the most phone leads but also the most high-value leads to your business, optimize your marketing efforts, and allocate your budget accordingly.


Sometimes you want to directly integrate with Google Ads and not via a Google Analytics goal. To do so follow the steps described below:



Set Up


Step 1. Go to Integrations > Google Ads and click on the 'Connect' button.



Step 2. Choose your account, and give access to Nimbata by clicking on "Continue", and then on "Allow". A confirmation message will appear indicating that your account has been successfully connected.




Step 3. Then go to the Google Ads Account which you just linked in Nimbata.


  1. In Google Ads click on 'Create'.


  1. Then, click on 'Conversion Action'.



Step 4. On the Start tracking conversions menu, select 'Phone calls'. This way you can track:


  • Calls from ads
  • Calls to a number on your website
  • Clicks on number on mobile sites



Step 5. Select the source of the phone calls you'd like to track. In this example, we're going with Calls to a phone number on my website. This option requires Google forwarding numbers , which is available in a certain countries only. A tag will also need to be installed to your website.



Step 6. Then, select your goal (Phone call lead in this case) and conversion action optimization options (primary or secondary action used for bidding optimization).



Step 7. Fill out your conversion's name, and set the value for the conversion by selecting the currency and typing the amount.



Step 8. Next, fill out your phone number and decide on the length of the call in order to be considered a conversion.



Step 9. Adjust your click-through conversion window and select your attribution model. Click on 'Create and continue'.



Step 10. Now, select your preferred tag setup.



Step 11. Follow the instructions depending on the tag setup you select and hit 'Send and continue'.



Step 12. Read the instructions suggested by Google Ads carefully and click on 'Done'.



Step 13. Now, go back to Google Ads in your Nimbata integrations and select your Google Ads Account. Select the conversion you've just created within Google Ads. If you wish to include the value of each call or send enhanced conversions, simply check the 'value' and 'enhanced conversion' boxes respectively.




🎉 That's it! Your Google Ads account will be populated once a day with call conversions from Nimbata!
