How to handle anonymous calls without losing leads?

The issue with anonymous calls

Many businesses face an important dilemma with anonymous calls. Most of them are low-quality, or spam calls. Still, there is a good amount of potential in them, as many actual leads, for their own reasons, prefer to call anonymously.

Blocking, anonymous calls is easy, but doing that might cost you leads. So, let's see how you can minimize worthless anonymous calls, without hurting your business.

Call flow for anonymous calls

The best thing you can do is design a call flow that will automatically play a voicemail for anonymous calls.

Callers will hear a message that will ask them kindly to call again from a regular phone number.

To do that, select the Caller ID prefix and type anonymous on one side, and leave the other as is.

Then, add the voicemail on the anonymous path and the routing you wish on the other.

And that's it! Now, callers who call with genuine interest will know that they need to call back with their phone number visible, while robocalls, spammers and low quality calls will remain away.
