Track conversions in Google Ads

Many users wonder what is the right amount of tracking numbers when it comes to Google Ads. The quick answer is, "It depends".

The longer, more detailed one, follows below.

Tracking calls from Call Extensions

Here, you need a static call tracking number.

You determine your assets on an account, campaign, or ad group level and from here on, it's up to the level of depth of attribution you want to get from your call tracking.

For example, if you want campaign-level attribution, then you get as many numbers as you have campaigns. Eg, for 3 campaigns, you get three numbers. The same for ad groups. For account level, you only need one.
