How do I forward calls to different destinations based on the day of the week?
Do you need to route incoming calls differently so that incoming calls go to different destinations depending on the weekday?
With Nimbata, you can easily set up time-based call routing to forward calls to the right destination based on the day of the week they come in.
Follow the instructions below to successfully route your calls to different numbers:
Requirements: Available to Pro, Marketing, and Agency users.
Setting up multiple call flows requires you to have an active subscription with any of our three paid plans. The free plan offers 1 call flow.
Call routing based on Day of the Week
Step 1. Select 'Call Flows' under 'Tracking' from the left-side menu on the Nimbata app homepage.
Step 2. Click on the '+Add' button to open the Call Flow Builder.
Step 3. Once in the Call Flow Builder, click on the '+' plus sign in the middle to open up the Call-Flow Action menu.
Step 4. On the Call-Flow Action menu, select 'Day of Week' under the 'Filters' sub-menu.
Step 5. Now that your first Day of Week instance has been created, click on the blue '+' plus sign next to it to duplicate it.
Step 6. Populate both Day of Week actions with the Dial action by clicking on the '+' plus sign on the red line of each flow, and selecting 'Dial' from the Call-Flow Action menu.
Step 7. Adjust the days on the Day of Week blocks to suit your business and non-business days, and then select the phone number destination for each day block.
That's all! You're done setting up your Day of Week call routing!
