Google Ads integration: How to set it up in Nimbata

How to set up the Google Ads + Nimbata integration in the updated interface

This article assumes you have an active Google Ads account with permission to create conversion actions. If you're unsure about your Google Ads setup, we recommend reviewing Google’s documentation before proceeding: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6366720?hl=en

Nimbata’s Google Ads integration allows you to send call conversions directly to Google Ads, helping you understand which campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords are driving phone leads. This guide covers direct Google Ads integration, without using Google Analytics as an intermediary.

To do so follow the steps described below:

Setup instructions

Step 1. In Nimbata, go to Integrations > Google Ads and click on 'Connect'.

Step 2. On the Google Ads pop-up tab, you will be prompted to 'Sign in with Google' through your account. Select the Google account associated with your Google Ads account and grant access to Nimbata by clicking 'Continue' and then 'Allow'. A confirmation message will appear indicating that your account has been successfully connected.

Once you are signed in, your Nimbata account will display your Gmail address in green:

Step 3. Then open the Google Ads account you just linked to Nimbata.

Step 4. Head over to 'Goals > Summary' and click on '+ Create conversion action'.

Step 5. Select your preferred action from the conversion actions menu. We're going with 'Contact' for this example. Click 'Save and continue'.

NOTE: The conversion setup interface may vary depending on your Google Ads account type. If options differ, set the data source to Offline and select Connect data source later before saving.

Step 6. Click on 'Add conversion actions' and select the 'Connect data source later' option.

Step 7. Add all the conversion actions you need and click on 'Save and continue'.

Step 8. Check everything looks correct and click the 'Finish' button at the end of the page to complete your setup.

Step 9. Now, go back to Google Ads in your Nimbata integrations and select your Google Ads Account. Select the conversion you've just created within Google Ads. If you want to include call values or enable enhanced conversions, select the appropriate options here.

Tip: Checking the 'Include Value' box helps eliminate the warning message in Nimbata about ensuring the conversion is configured correctly.

Creating Google Ads workflows

Once your Google Ads conversion is set up, you need to create a workflow in Nimbata to send call data to it.
