Google Ads Conversions via GA4: How to Import Nimbata Call Events

How to send call events to Google Ads via GA4

One way to send call data to Google Ads is by importing conversions from Google Analytics 4 (GA4). In this setup, call events recorded in GA4 are imported into Google Ads as conversions. Before proceeding, make sure you have:

  1. Connected Nimbata to Google Analytics 4 and are sending call events to GA4: https://help.nimbata.com/en/article/google-analytics-4-1l4tjvt/
  2. Create your call goals in Google Ads: https://help.nimbata.com/en/article/how-to-set-up-google-ads-16qe443/
  3. Verified that your call events appear in GA4: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/12571843?hl=en

Once the above steps are complete, you can import your GA4 call events into Google Ads.

How to set everything up

Head over to your Google Ads account and follow these steps:

Step 1. Navigate to Goals > Conversions > Summary. Once in the 'Summary' view, click the ' + Create conversion action' button.

Step 2. On the 'Start tracking conversions' menu, select the 'Import' option.

Step 3. Then, select 'Google Analytics 4 properties > Web' from the menu that appears below and click on 'Continue'.

Step 4. Select the conversion actions to import from your Google Analytics 4 property and click on 'Import and continue'.

Step 5. Once imported, your GA4 call events will appear as conversion actions in Google Ads. If you need to adjust conversion settings later, return to the Summary view, select the conversion, and edit its settings as needed.

🎉 That’s it! Imported conversions may take some time to appear in Google Ads, depending on GA4 and Google Ads processing.
