How to set a cap on received calls

Call capping lets you set a maximum number of calls a destination number can receive within a specific period.

Once the limit is reached, Nimbata stops routing calls to that destination until the period resets.

Use it to manage capacity, control ad spend, and avoid overwhelming your team.

You can combine call capping with Sequential or Weighted routing to distribute capped calls across your team. See Sequential routing and Weighted routing.

Step 1. Open the Call Capping panel

Step 2. Enable capping for the destination number

  • Toggle the Capping switch on for the destination number(s) you want to cap.

Step 3. Set the call limit

  • Click the pencil icon next to the destination.
  • Enter the maximum number of calls allowed.
  • Click Apply.

🎉 Done. The destination number will stop receiving calls once the cap is reached. You can return here at any time to adjust or remove the limit.
