How to receive and respond to SMS texts in Nimbata
1. Receiving SMS texts in Nimbata (Inbound SMS)
Nimbata allows you to receive and respond to SMS messages sent to your tracking numbers. Incoming texts can be forwarded to your destination phone number, and you can also reply to those messages directly from inside Nimbata.
This makes it easy to manage calls and SMS in one place, respond quickly to customers, and support people who prefer texting instead of calling.
Activate SMS communications on Nimbata
Step 1. Go to Tracking > Call Flows.

Step 2. Click on '+ Create' if you want to create a new call flow. To edit an existing one, just click its name to enter the call flow.

Step 3. If you're creating a new call flow, select whether you want to build it from scratch or using our templates. We will go with the template in this example.

Step 4. Select the type of call flow you need by clicking on 'Use template'. We're going with a Simple Call Flow in this guide.

Step 5. Add your phone number in the 'Dial' filter and tick the box below to receive SMS.

2. Responding to SMS texts in Nimbata (Outbound SMS)
Now you're all set to receive SMS directly on your phone, and you can respond to these messages from inside of Nimbata, too! Head over to Activity > SMS to view your SMS log and read and respond to messages per tracking number:

And that’s it! You can now receive SMS sent to your tracking numbers and respond to them either on your destination phone or directly from inside Nimbata.
