How to activate call capping

Call capping is most effective when combined with Sequential or Weighted call distribution. See: How to enable sequential routing and How to enable weighted routing.

Call capping sets a maximum number of calls a destination number can receive per day.

Once the cap is reached, Nimbata stops routing calls to that destination for the rest of the day.

Use it to protect agent capacity, control advertising spend, or enforce fair-distribution SLAs.

Step 1. Open the Call Capping panel

Step 2. Enable call capping for a destination number

  • Toggle on the switch next to the destination number(s) you want to cap.

The default cap is 10 calls per day, starting from the day of activation.

Step 3. Customize the cap settings

  • Click Change Call Capping Settings next to the destination.

Step 4. Set your daily call limit and start date

  • Enter the maximum number of calls per day.
  • Set the cap start date.
  • Click Apply.

🎉 Call capping is now active. When you build a call flow using a capped destination, Nimbata will display a notice in the builder as a reminder.
