Customize your dashboard
The importance of customizing your dashboard
Customized analytics dashboards allow users to:
- Have a clear overview of account performance on the same page.
- Eliminate wasted time gathering data and creating reports.
- Speed up their decision-making process.
Here is how you can customize your Nimbata analytics dashboard:
Step 1. Go to Analytics > Dashboard
Step 2. Remove all unnecessary charts by clicking the [X] button on the left corner of each chart.
Step 3. Add the reports you need by clicking on the '+ Add' button at the top left corner of the screen.
Once you've selected one of two main chart categories, you can also use the search bar that appears to look for specific reports:
Alternatively, you can click on the report subcategories until you find what you need. Let's say you need a bar chart report that categorizes your inbound calls by UTM Source/Medium:
- Click on the '+ Add' button, and select the 'Calls' category.
- Select the 'Inbound Calls' subcategory.
- Then, select the 'Bar Chart' sub-subcategory.
- Finally, add the 'by UTM Source/Medium' report and exit the menu.
Your new report will now be visible in your dashboard:
Step 4. Move the tables by dragging them upwards or downwards to prioritize what you need to see first:
Before:
After:
Step 5. Increase or decrease the size of each report to improve how you view your most important and visually-complex data and minimize what takes up too much space.
Step 6. Remove or isolated unwanted data. In the example below, I want my Missed Calls per Hour by UTM Source report to exclude all data related to Facebook. All I have to do is click on the 'business.facebook.com' and 'Facebook' sources for Nimbata to exclude them from the data. An excluded source is indicated by a strike-through line. You can add or remove data sources as you please with the click of a button:
- Report inclusive of Facebook data:
- Report exclusive of Facebook data:

And that was it! Now you know how to customize your dashboard!
