Activate numbers which need identity verification (business use)
Certain countries require additional information to be provided to the local regulator, before you can activate and use a number. Your information is private and will only be provided to the local regulator as required by local legislation to prevent use of phone numbers for fraudulent purposes.
If the number you acquired falls under this category you'll get the following pop-up message:
- First name
- Last name
- Phone number local to your country of residence / registration
- Company name
- Identity document(s), such as a Business Registration Certificate, Trade License, Passport, National ID etc.
- Address in your country of residence
- Proof of address, such as a Utility Bill, Phone Bill, Rental Receipt etc.
A copy of this message will also be forwarded to your provided email address for easy reference. You can easily access the identity authentication environment by clicking on the hyperlink in the email text:
Step 1. Once you gather the information, click on the email link or go to Account > Identities. Click on '+ Create Identity' to commence the identity registration process.
Step 2. Maintain the default use type of business. Only select 'personal' if you need 1 number strictly for non-business, personal use.
Fill out the following required details under this type:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Company Name
- Phone Number
When ready click on the 'Create' button. This will create your identity. You are now ready to add your address.
Step 3. Click on "+ Create" to add your address.
Step 4. On the pop-up window, fill out your:
- Street and street number
- City
- Country
- Postal Code
Step 5. If local regulations require you to upload proof of address, this will show up in the identity overview after you've added your address:
Click on the '+ Add document' button and choose the type of document you wish to upload. If no proof of address is required, skip to step 6.
Step 6. Follow the same procedure to upload the documents required to authenticate your identity.
- Click on '+ Add Documents'.
- Choose the type of document you wish to upload as proof.
Step 7. When all information and documents have been uploaded, minimize the identity menu and select the identity you've created.
Step 8. Click on 'Verify' to begin the authentication process.
Step 9. You will receive a 'Pending' status on your identity and will be assigned a case number.
Step 10. Verification of provided information may take up to 24 hours and you will be informed about successful or unsuccessful activation of your numbers by email.

And that's it! You're ready to go to your tracking numbers and assign your call flows to them!

Click on 'Update Identity' to head back to the identities section and provide the necessary documentation.
