Template: How to create an SMS Email Alert workflow
SMS Email Alerts
Stay on top of your inbound activity (Calls & SMS) with SMS and Email Alerts. Alerts let you instantly notify yourself, your team, or your clients when specific call or SMS events happen, so you can respond faster, never miss leads, and keep everyone aligned. With SMS & Email Alerts, you can:
- Get real-time notifications for key call events like missed calls, first-time callers, or conversions
- Respond faster to leads by alerting the right people as soon as a call comes in
- Stay informed automatically without logging into Nimbata or running reports
How to create an SMS Email Alert workflow
Step 1. Go to Workflows and click on 'Create'.

Step 2. In the Create a New Workflow menu, select 'From Template'.

Step 3. In the Workflow Templates menu, hover over to 'SMS Email Alert' and click on 'Use template'.

Step 4. On the 'Email Notifications' menu that pops up, create and/or select the specific email configuration you want to include in this workflow. To make the final selection, click on the orange trigger button to fire either 'When a call ends' or 'When an SMS arrives'. Then, click on the 'x' button to exit the pop-up menu and view your finalized workflow.

Step 5. Your SMS Email Alert workflow has been created and automatically named. To activate it:
EITHER:
- Click on the 'Enable' button at the top-right corner:

OR:
Head back to the main Workflows menu and look for your workflow titled 'SMS Email Alert'. Hover over to the turned off toggle button and toggle it on. Nimbata will notify you that you have successfully enabled your workflow with the message 'Workflow "SMS Email Alert" was successfully enabled.'

That's it - you're all set!
