Here is the process for porting numbers to Nimbata:


1. Initiate the porting request


  • Contact Support: Because porting requires coordination with your current carrier, you must reach out to the Nimbata support team to initiate the process. Head over to https://www.nimbata.com/contact to do so.
  • Provide Information: You will need to provide your current carrier details, the phone numbers to be ported, and proof of ownership.

Once the porting is successful, you will configure the numbers within the Nimbata dashboard:

  • Define Destination: In Tracking > Destinations, set the number where calls to your ported number should be forwarded (your actual business line).
  • Create Call Flows: Go to Tracking > Call Flows to define how calls are handled (e.g., adding recordings, whispers, or voicemail).
  • Assign Numbers: Assign your newly ported numbers to these call flows in Tracking > Numbers.

Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI): If you want to use these numbers for website tracking, add the Nimbata tracking script or use the WordPress plugin to enable DNI, which swaps your numbers based on the user's source.
