# Slack

The Slack integration sends real-time call notifications to your Slack workspace, so your team stays informed about inbound call activity. To send the same alerts by email instead, see [Email Alerts](https://help.nimbata.com/integrations/email-alerts).

> **Note:** For more information on using Nimbata and Slack, read our [privacy policy](https://www.nimbata.com/privacy-policy/).

1. **Connect your Slack workspace**

   - Go to [Integrations > Slack](https://app.nimbata.com/integrations/service/slack).
   - Click **Connect**.
   - Click **Allow** to grant Nimbata access.
   - A confirmation message appears once connected.

2. **Select your trigger**

   - Which calls send a notification is decided by a workflow with a Slack action: a workflow that runs when a call ends, with no filter, notifies for all calls.
   - Add filters to the workflow to narrow it down, for example only calls tagged as "Sales" or only answered calls.

3. **Select a Slack channel**

In the **Channel and message** section, choose the **Slack channel** where call notifications should be sent.

4. (1) **Choose your call data fields**

   - In the **Message data** section, select the fields to include in the message.
   - Remove a field with the **✕** icon.
   - Rename labels inline, or add new fields with **Add parameter** (1).

[The Message data section with Parameter name and Value rows for tracking_num_name, caller_id, destination_num_name, call_outcome, utm_source and rec_link, the Add parameter button marked 1, and Send Test below]

*Each row is a line of the Slack message. Add parameter (1) adds one; Send Test sends a sample.*

   > **Tip:** Adding the Rec Link field lets your team open call recordings directly from Slack with one click.

5. **Test and save**

   - Click **Send Test**.
   - Fill in the test fields to verify the notification looks correct in your Slack channel.
   - Nimbata saves your changes as you make them.

🎉 Done! Nimbata posts a Slack notification for every call that matches your trigger.

> **Note:** To uninstall the integration, go to Integrations > Slack, open the three-dot menu at the top right of the page and click **Disconnect**.
