# How to export a project

Exporting a project is useful when you want to share data with someone who doesn't have access to your Nimbata account.

### Step 1. Open Projects

* Click your **user avatar** in the top-right corner.
* Select [Projects](https://app.nimbata.com/projects).

### Step 2. Export the project

* Click the **Export** button in the upper-right corner of the Projects page.
* Choose your preferred format: **Excel** or **CSV**.
