# How to delete a destination number

||| Destination Numbers can be removed only if they are not part of an active call flow. Before attempting to delete a destination number, make sure to check its current status. If the status appears as "In use" (as below) follow the instructions below.

### Step 1. Check the destination number's status

* Go to [Tracking > Destinations](https://app.nimbata.com/tracking/destinations)**.**
* Check whether the number shows **"In use"**.

### Step 2. Open the call flow that uses it

* Go to [Tracking > Call Flows](https://app.nimbata.com/tracking/call-flows).
* Click on the name of the call flow that includes the destination number you want to delete.

### Step 3. Remove the destination number from the call flow

* Delete the **'Dial'** section that contains the destination number.

### Step 4. Delete the destination number

* Return to [Tracking > Destinations](https://app.nimbata.com/tracking/destinations). The number will now show **"Not in use"**.
* Select the number and click the **red bin icon**.
* Click **'Remove'** on the confirmation message that appears.

🎉 That's it! You will receive a notification confirming the destination number has been removed.
