# How to activate email summaries

|| This article covers periodic email summary reports; automated digests of your call tracking activity. There is a separate feature for real-time email notifications triggered by individual call or SMS events. Those are configured under Integrations > Email Notifications and use workflows to fire alerts for specific conditions.

| To set up real-time email notifications instead, follow: [Email Notifications integration: how to set them up in Nimbata](https://help.nimbata.com/en/article/email-notifications-integration-how-to-set-them-up-in-nimbata-1tlmrc4/).

* Email summaries are automated reports delivered on a schedule.
